Homework: Homework assignments are given on the last slide of the Power Point stack for each chapter.  Each homework grade will be assigned a 0 (not submitted), 1 (late and/or incomplete), 2 (on time and complete). Completion is determined by doing the problems, not that they are right or wrong.  After you submit your homework, I suggest you look at my solution below to assess your work.  In some cases, the answers are individual and there is no right or wrong answer.

Project:  Each student will prepare a term paper on an article or book on some Engineering Management topic.  This assignment is not a book report or summary of the paper; it is a response to the following questions.  I have included an example of a term paper from a former student.

            • What is the purpose/objective/thesis of the article or book?
            • A brief summary of the book or paper.
            • What was the source of data that the author used to support the thesis?
            • Was the data gathered and reduced in a realistic and scientifically sound method?
            • Did the data support the purpose/objective/thesis?
            • How would you improve upon the article?
